Divine Mercy Multimedia Mission is the new lay apostolate of Jeff Childers (Surprised By Truth 2, The Journey Home).
My goal in this lay ministry is to bring the message of the healing, saving mercy of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our God, to modern sinners. I am the worst of those sinners, myself. As a Protestant minister, I learned and taught the Word of God and, by his grace, was called to full communion with the Catholic Church. After that, I entered into the seminary to pursue the priesthood. But, sadly, though my head was in the right place, my heart was not. Chasing after the empty, sinful pleasures of this world, I left the seminary and fell further from the love of Jesus Christ.
I know full well what it's like to be a sinful, modern man. I know what goes on in the night clubs, where lost souls drink away thier pain, grinding to the beats of sexual impurity, the inane words of talentless lyricists--rejecting divine mercy in the claim of needing no one but themselves, all the while drugging themselves in a vain effort to forget who they are!
I keep before myself always two sayings of Christ. In the first, he shows mercy by calling me out on my sin: "Whoever puts his hand to the plow and turns back is unworthy of the kingdom of God." Then, he sends me the mercy of his forgiveness: "After you have come home, strengthen your brethren."
In these online articles and audio presentations, God shows his mercy in many ways: Mercy to the listless, sinful modern who is unaware of the source of true happiness. Mercy to the separated borther who, though he loves Jesus Christ, longs for the sacraments. Mercy to those who wish to drink in deeply from the fountain of sacred scripture.
